Albert Ernest Wong Hee was the ninth child of William Wong Hee and Sarah (nee Reeves). He was born on 10 June 1897.
Ernest was aged 17 when he registered his mother's death on June 15, 1904. He was described as a labourer. Ernest did not marry, and had no children.
His death registration records him as 23 years old when he died of laryngeah phthisis (TB) on 11 September 1910. He had been suffering from the illness for four months and was treated by H. H. Fleming, Surgeon Certified. The place of death looks like Canterbury Street, Borough of St Arnaud, County of Kara Kara. He was buried at the St Arnaud Cemetery on 13 September, 1910.
According to his death certificate, Ernest was buried at the St Arnaud Cemetery on 13 September 1910. The St Arnaud Cemetery have a record for an Edward Wong Hee who was buried on 13 July 1910 however the administrator I spoke to suggests it appears to be an error made when early data was transposed into a new set of recrods. Otherwise he would have been buried a month before he died! I then contacted the Undertaker J J Kell and his daughter confirmed their records for Ernest's burial were 13 September 1910.
