- Summary
Photographic evidence suggests that 'Mew Chip' and 'New Chip' are the same person. Mew Chip lived in Tambaroora. It is believed he arrived in Australia in 1855. NSW Births, deaths and marriages indicate he died in 1937 aged 91 years in Lidcombe in a 'hosp & home'. However it has also been suggested he died in 1936 aged 104.
