Ethel Maud Kin Sam was the daughter of George Kin Sam and Annie Laura (nee Bennet). She is believed to have been born in Victoria but her birth does not appear to have been registered. She married George Poy/Leong Cheong Poy. They had two children: Leslie and Rita.
