Pan Ah Shin married Catherine Martin in June 1857 at St John's Anglican Church in Melbourne. They had eight children.
Their children were:
Alice Anne (who married John Ah Sam);
Emily Matilda (who married William Le Sock);
Henry Thomas (who married Helena Lam Son);
Mary Elizabeth (who married John Mah Look);
Caroline Jane (who married Kong Fat);
William James (who married Sara Maud Ah Foo);
Frederick (who died in infancy)
Agnes Louise (who married Charlie Foo and then Henry Woods).
