- Summary
The Chinese Mission Church was established by Cheok Hong Cheong. After a dispute with authorities in 1898 Cheong moved his congregation out of the church at 108 Little Bourke Street and established the Chinese Mission Church. Kathryn Cronin believes that during this interim period the church operated at the Temperance Hall in Russell Street. Later a new church was built at 123-129 Little Bourke Street.
