visit of Sir Herbert Chermside, Governor of Queensland to Cairns

Summary

In June 1903 the governor of Queensland, Sir Herbert Chermsie, visited Cairns. There were two offical receptions, the European one when the official party arrived by sea and the Chinese one a few days later when the governor returned by train from a visit to the Atherton Tableland.
