The photograph is identified as taken in a Chinese market garden because of the identification of a garden placed in sequence with this print as Chinese from a similar photograph in the Millar collection (Northern Territory Library, PH0188/0073). This photograph is grouped with D003768, D003770 and D002536 in both the Souvenir album held by the Northern Territory Library and the Kirkbride collection held by the State Library of Victoria. The caption given to this photograph in the Souvenir album refers to 'English' vegetables also suggesting the garden is owned or run by Chinese Territorians. The caption in the Kirkbride collection identifies the location as Pine Creek in the Northern Territory.
