- National Archives of Australia print is a sepia/black and white photograph stuck on a card mount. Top left: '1028/8/2/00'. Handwritten across bottom: 'Airlie [? or Charlie?, very unclear] 25/7/1'. On mount: 'Fraser', '30 Bridge Street', 'Ballarat.' Printed page listing exemptions granted under the 1890 Chinese Act. All names crossed out except Chung Wai, Ballaarat, Gardener, Three years from the 8th February, 1900. Sheet folded to size of card. Hand written on back: 'Handed to the Rev D. Soong Sam for transmission to Chung Wai who left for China per S.S. Changsha on the 23rd Decr 1899. [signature not clear] 23.2.00'.
