- Description
Fr James Cheong seated in the centre, wearing a russet and gold cope made for Canon Hughes; Fr Maynard, who succeeded Hughes as vicar of St Peter’s in 1926, is seated on the right. Since Fr Cheong was ordained on St Thomas’ day, the subdeacon, and Maynard as deacon both wear red vestments made by the Montgomery sisters in 1917, still in the St Peter’s collection of vestments.
