- Alma Quon and her Joy Belles. Circa 1955: Dawn Smith, Molly Worrall, Gladys Torrens, Alma Quon, Valma Frecker, Moya Brown, Lotte Rehn, Gay Funston, Lorna Quon.
- Description
Alma Quon on the drums was the instigator and leader of the band. There are two women in this group who are of German background. Photograph is dated as 1955, partly because of the fashions and partly because of personal comments made by Alma and there is also an earlier photograph of Alma in Melody Makers which is dated as 1940s.
