The Hume family lived at Drayton, Toowoomba, and in Brisbane. W.C. Hume was a surveyor and Chief commissioner for Lands for Queensland. The Hume Family Collection contains personal correspondence, photograph albums, travel journals, diaries of various family members, notebooks, and is available within the Fryer Library.
